About us

When the coronavirus arrived in 2020, we got the opportunity to exchange urban life in Oslo for mountain air in Lofoten. That summer, we learned what the meaning of life was: to hike in the mountains. Since then, we have taken every opportunity to travel north to do just that. We have become well acquainted with Lofoten, and we have spent a lot of time helping family and friends plan the trips they themselves would take here in the north. Whether it is about accommodation, places to eat, or experiencing fantastic nature. Now we have quit our jobs to work with exactly this: Helping people experience Lofoten in the best possible way. To visit unknown gems, to stand in the right place to get the best possible view of the midnight sun, to hike the best mountain trails - without standing in line, and to experience all the local, fantastic products and services that Lofoten has to offer.

Our vision

Our vision and dream for Lofoten Highlights is quite simple. We want everyone to experience the undescribable magic of Lofoten.

We believe that experience will look different for everyone, and believe that local knowledge will help you make the most of your trip. By helping you discover, choose and prioritize your time, we believe you will hassle less and experience more - more of the things that make you happy.

Johanne

Johanne has spent every possible minute in Lofoten since she truly discovered the place in 2020. It's her second home. She loves Lofoten so much, she even managed to find love with a local. It was probably inevitable, considering the amount of time Johanne spends in Lofoten – whether she is hiking in one of her favorite mountains, Svarttinden, Kroktind or Veggen, or taking her surfboard out to ride the waves by Unstad beach.

She is quite funny, and there will never be a dull moment on a tour with her.

Maiken

Originally from the south of Norway, this unique soul had barely hiked a mountain when she arrived in Lofoten the summer of 2020. She quickly fell in love with the nature, people and culture of the north, and to her surprise - she also fell head over heels in love with hiking the mountains.

A strange combination of whimsical and practical, she is a wonderful tour companion.
